Trigger Finger

When you have trigger finger, one of your fingers becomes permanently bent. It's possible that bending and straightening your finger will feel like pulling and releasing a trigger. Stenosing tenosynovitis is another name for "trigger finger" (stuh-NO-sing ten-o-sin-o-VIE-tis).

The inflammation of the tendon in the affected finger is what causes trigger finger. Women are at a higher risk, as are those with diabetes or arthritis, as well as those whose daily activities put extra stress on their hands.

In addition to the aforementioned, the affected finger may also feel painful, pop, or click sometimes. Mornings are the worst for triggering.
