Forearm/Elbow Fractures

Pain, discomfort, swelling, and the inability to straighten the elbow or pain when straightening the elbow are all possible symptoms of an olecranon fracture. A sling or surgery may be used to immobilize the broken limb while it heals, depending on the severity and kind of fracture.

Bone fractures that aren't treated can take one of two forms: either they won't heal at all or they'll heal slowly. A damaged bone won't mend in the first scenario. Consequences include an increase in soreness, edema, and pain.
