I was drawn to medicine because it offered the rare combination of science, precision, and human connection. Plastic surgery, in particular, stood out to me because of its unique ability to restore both form and function—helping patients feel whole again after trauma, illness, or even a long-standing insecurity.

What continues to motivate me every day is the transformation I see—not just physically, but emotionally. Whether it’s a patient regaining confidence after reconstructive surgery or someone finally feeling like themselves after a cosmetic procedure, being part of that journey is incredibly fulfilling. Knowing that I can use my skills to improve someone’s quality of life in such a personal way is what keeps me passionate about this work.

I’ve authored several peer-reviewed publications focused on plastic and reconstructive surgery, body contouring, and surgical innovations. My work includes studies on abdominal etching techniques and outcomes, modified abdominoplasty methods, and the use of platelet-rich plasma in fat grafting. I’ve also contributed to research on nanofat technology, the management of complex facial fractures, and complication reduction in post–weight loss body contouring. One recent publication even explores the emerging concept of abdominal hypertrophy syndrome, highlighting evolving conditions seen in aesthetic patients. These works reflect my commitment to advancing surgical excellence and patient safety.

Yes, I’ve been honored with multiple Maverick Awards recognizing innovation and excellence in plastic surgery. I also served as President of the Miami Society of Plastic Surgery from 2020 to 2021, where I had the privilege of helping shape professional standards and promote collaboration among peers.
