Meet Tarik M. Husain, MD, FACS
Tarik M. Husain, MD, FACS, is a Quadruple board-certified plastic/aesthetic surgeon. Dr. Husain is located in Miami Beach. He is the immediate past President for the Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons http://www.miamisps.com. His aesthetic surgery emphasis is on abdominal etching, otherwise known as “six-pack abs.” He has written peer reviewed articles and book chapters on this subject. He also likes to combine body and face procedures, so that they "match" in aesthetic terms.
Dr. Husain earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He then went to Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI to complete his orthopedic surgery residency. He gained additional subspecialty in sports medicine during this time.
Dr. Husain spent 13 years working as a United States Army orthopedic surgeon, caring for injured soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, and Germany.
After his military service, Dr. Husain trained to become a plastic surgeon at the University of Miami. He primarily trained with Dr. Christopher Salgado during this time. He then did his fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX and trained with Dr. Rod Rohrich.
After the completion of his training, he was in a group practice with MOSA Plastic Surgery. In 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, he decided to go solo practice and has become known as Dr. Miami Beach with a large plastic surgery Instagram presence (@dr.miamibeach)
As an innovator he is always looking for better ways to help his patients achieve their aesthetic goals. He is well connected to the University of Miami and Larkin Plastic Surgery programs. He educates current plastic surgery residents, students, hosts journal club, attends grand rounds, gives lectures, and continues ongoing research.
Dr. Husain enjoys snowboarding, mixed martial arts training, and traveling.
